Based on a communicative approach, the language teaching of our courses is carried out in different cultural and social contexts, which provides a rich experience for students to practice Portuguese in a very pleasant environment: practical situations of everyday communication, pronunciation, vocabulary for specific purposes, such as school, work and leisure, developing the four language learning skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Sílvia Burim
Majored in Modern Languages (Portuguese and English) and Literature and post-graduated in Translation (English-Portuguese), co-author of ten textbooks, six of which are aimed at teaching Portuguese as a Second Language. For 18 years she worked as a language advisor, focusing on teaching Portuguese for foreigners. For 16 years she has been working as a Portuguese teacher and Coordinator of the Department of Internationalization and Languages at Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado - FAAP, in São Paulo, Brazil.
Dilmo dos Santos
Professor at FAAP, in São Paulo, Brazil, since 2011. I am graduated at UFAL (Universidade Federal de Alagoas) Letras: Port/Inglês and postgraduated in Translation at Mackenzie University in São Paulo. Second University graduate, bachelor’s at Psychology at UNG (Universidade de Guarulhos). Has a large experience in Brazilian Portuguese for foreigns acting since 2003 as a Portuguese professor. I am a person who loves culture and arts.
Alexandre Conceição
I am professor Alexandre Henrique de Freitas Conceição. I was born in Salvador but, after living 11 years in Rio de Janeiro, I decided to move to São Paulo where I live since 2001. I have a Bachelor degree in Languages and post graduation in History of Art. I teach at FAAP since 2008. I work with languages, art, culture and Brazilian culinary. My second language is English, but I am always reading in German, French and Italian. Languages fascinate me and my curiosity never let me stop studying.
Edson Canela
Graduated in Portuguese/English and post-graduated in translation studies from USP. Edson started his career teaching English and Portuguese in 1985. He worked with students of all age groups - from elementary to high school, and at the end of this period he completed a postgraduate degree in school administration. In 1999, he entered higher education at FAAP, where he currently teaches PLE classes and coordinates English courses and preparation for English proficiency exams. Since 2012 he has been a consultant for ETS in Brazil, conducting workshops and lectures on the TOEFL iBT and GRE exams in Brazil and abroad.
Elaine Zambon
Elaine Maria Zambon has been teaching PLE (portuguese for foreigners) for almost 15 years at FAAP. Graduated in English and Portuguese languages from Mackenzie University, she also has a special way to teach grammar, conversation with Brazilian songs and movies.
Celso Solha
Doctor in Education: Curriculum, Interdisciplinary Research Line – PUC / SP. Master in Education. Actor graduated from the School of Dramatic Art of the University of São Paulo – EAD / USP. Director and Playwright awarded by the SNT (National Theater Service) in the children's text category; postgraduate in Sociology – Globalization and Culture at the Fundação Escola de Sociologia e Política of São Paulo – FESPSP. Professor of Theater and Interpretation at FAAP / SP – Faculty of Law, FAAP Global and high schools. Member of GEPI – Group of Studies and Research in Interdisciplinary – PUC / SP.
Camila Fanchini Rossi
Professor at FAAP, in São Paulo, Brazil, since 2008. Master’s in Communication and Semiotics, postgraduate in 3D Computer Graphics and bachelor’s at Fashion Design. Works mainly on the following subjects: jewelry design, footwear design, styling and communication. Has experience in e-commerce and online media focused on design, fashion and art. Acting since 1999 as an independent jewelry designer, has been awarded in important national jewelry design competitions such as AngloGold Ashanti AuDITIONS and IBGM Design Awards. Additionally, has worked in industries in Brazil and Italy and participated in exhibitions in several countries.
Clenir Louceiro
Postgraduate in Portuguese Language and Literature Teaching at UNICAMP, she has worked at FAAP for 15 years. She is the author of the book "7 Voices: Luso-Afro-Brazilian colloquial lexicon", on the diversity of Portuguese Language in the World.
Worked in the Amazon for 3 years, was the first Portuguese teacher of the Yanomami Indians of Northern Brazil, an education project linked to the Rain Forest Foundation.
She has published several articles on Brazilian Literature and has given lectures on Language and Culture.
She is currently a consultant and reviewer of articles and books of Fiocruz/Pe.
